French Proofreader / Editor / - Bilingual

Our client is looking to hire a bilingual (English and Quebecois French) Training and Policy Editing Specialist with skills in Proofreading and Editing translated documents.

The Candidate should have 2-3 years’ experience working in a role where their French language skills are demonstrated - ideally in a high volume and fast paced environment.


The bulk of the job responsibilities will include Proofreading and Editing translated documents and learning and understanding company policy documents.

Some travel may be required.


Here's what they need:

  • Demonstrated French (Quebecois) language skills with an ability to Proofread documents that have already been translated from English into French.

  • Work with senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Work with Senior Management Team to determine values and mission.

  • Support worker communication with the management team.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proofreading and Editing translated documents and learning and understanding company policy documents.


Qualifications:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and French (Quebecois)

  • Preferred 2-3 years’ bilingual policy editing experience

  • Education in Human Resources and Business Administration preferred

  • The ability to prioritize, self-start, and multi-task with little supervision

  • The ability to quickly and independently begin the writing process

  • Experience working under tight deadlines

  • Processing forms and applications related to the needs of the Organization

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based programs

  • Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is REQUIRED

  • TRAVEL BETWEEN LOCATIONS MAY BE REQUIRED

Location: Onsite at Client office location - some flexibility as to the location -

Some travel may be required.

Option to work in any of the following locations:

Toronto East (Scarborough), Toronto West (Etobicoke), Ottawa, Montreal, Kitchener, Sudbury, Red Deer, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary.


Hours of Work:

8:30am to 5:00pm - Monday to Friday - flexibility with weekends is required


Benefits:

Salary: $22 - $25 per hour; based on experience


Additional pay: Overtime pay

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (preferred)
